ABSTRACT - Desktop Factory's patented technologies and new printing processes will deliver a 3D printer at a fraction of the cost of current solutions, allowing much broader adoption of RP across smaller companies and educational institutions. By challenging the current industry with a dramatically reduced price point Desktop Factory has created significant new awareness and demand for 3D printing. The ultimate focus is to deliver this compelling technology to consumers and hobbyists, at which point the offering will straddle the line between rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing in response to existing requirements for school projects, customized toys and crafts, even household repairs.
