Rapid Manufacturing of porous orthopedic devices using SLM

ABSTRACT - This presentation details the ongoing development of a process based on Selective Laser Melting to produce porous structured orthopedic devices.
Contrary to usual RM based applications in this area the intention of the development was to manufacture standard sized components for deployment throughout a global network of health practitioners. The presentation will detail the thoughts of the project team as the work nears its conclusion.
